MachiningGuru respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the MachiningGuru mobile app.
Information We Collect
MachiningGuru does not require users to create an account or sign in. The app does not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information with advertisers or data brokers.
Photos and G-Code Scanning
MachiningGuru allows you to select photos from your device so the app can recognize visible G-code using optical character recognition.
- You choose which photo to provide to the app.
- Selected photos are processed locally on your device.
- Selected photos are not uploaded to MachiningGuru servers.
- MachiningGuru does not store copies of your photos outside your device.
Saved Calculations, Notes, and G-Code
Speeds-and-feeds calculations, machine setup notes, saved records, and G-code entered or recognized in the app are stored locally on your device unless you choose to copy, export, or share them using features provided by your device.
Analytics and Tracking
MachiningGuru does not use third-party advertising networks and does not track users across apps or websites. The app does not use personal data for targeted advertising.
Data Sharing
MachiningGuru does not sell or share your personal information. Information processed by the app is not provided to outside companies for marketing or advertising purposes.
Data Retention and Deletion
Information saved by MachiningGuru remains on your device until you delete the saved records or remove the app. You can delete individual saved records inside the app. Deleting the app may also remove locally stored app data from the device.
Children's Privacy
MachiningGuru is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not require an account and does not collect personal information, no child-specific personal profile is created.
Security
MachiningGuru relies on security features provided by iOS and your device. No method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but the app is designed to minimize data collection and keep app information stored locally.
Third-Party Services
MachiningGuru uses Apple system frameworks and services to provide app functionality, including photo selection, optical character recognition, local data storage, and graphics. Your use of Apple devices and services is also subject to Apple's own privacy policies and terms.

This Privacy Policy may be updated when app features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when revisions are made.
